crafty times.

so my mother had surgery about a week ago on her shoulder. being a quilter and a girl, she did not want to go the next 5 weeks with the same boring sling that they gave her at the hospital. so since she only had one hand to use. i made her a new sling :)

first we traced her old sling and made a pattern. and cut out the fabric. we used upholstery.

i then hemmed the edges, ironing it first to keep it in place.

i used a patterned stitch for extra pizazz.
i zigzagged the edges to prevent fraying.

attached the loops.

and voila! i will post a picture of the final project tomorrow!
