new found obsession.

so this summer my mother and i have been on the hunt for vintage corelle and pyrex dishes in a pattern that i fell in love with. since in about a year i will be moving out, my mom suggested that we pick up pieces as we are garage saleing/thrift storing (and yes both of those are words ;).

so i decided to let you all join in on my little journey and let you in on my deals :)

the pattern that i am collecting is called spring blossom green and sometimes called crazy daisy. i have found pieces everywhere from thrift stores to garage sales to antique malls/fairs.

one of my first finds was the tea cups. i think i paid between $.25-.50 a piece for them at a thrift store. i love how beautiful they stack!
i also found one salad plate (i paid $.50) and a dinner plate (i paid $1) also found at a thrift store.
and of course the saucers to go with the tea cups. i paid $.50 a piece.
this is an E.O. Brody avocado green crinkle vase that i found at a thrift store. i paid a quarter for it and even though it is not corelle or pyrex it matches the green. and i just loved it!
i found tumblers and one juice glass to match even though these are by Anchor Hocking (not E.O. Brody)! these are the anchor hocking 12 oz tumblers. i paid $.25 for 6 of the tumblers at a thrift store. i found the juice glass at goodwill for $.29. about a week later i was at the antique mall and i found two more tumblers for $1.25!

this little salt shaker is in pretty rough shape. but he was only $.5. only five cents. how could i pass him up?? i couldnt i found him at a thrift store and wanted so desperately to find his mate but i didnt. so i brought him home hoping to adopt a little pepper shaker and find the top of his head some time soon.
this is another tea cup i found. just the one. it set me back a big whopping quarter but worth it.
butter dish! i found this at the antique mall. paid $10 for it. but its in perfect condition.
also found this casserole dish at the antique mall for $8.50.

found this set of gemco corelle sugar and cream set at the antique mall as well. they were $12 and look like they have never been used.

this is an Anchor Hocking pitcher that i paid a dollar for at a thrift store!
this casserole dish was found by my wonderful mother at an estate sale. i believe she paid $2.
ok i know these dont match but how beautiful are they? these are pyrex mixing bowls from the i found the three smallest bowls at the midland antique fair. i paid $21. the yellow bowl i also found at the fair but from another vendor. i paid $10. they are in beautiful condition.
i also found this at the antique fair. set of three of four (missing the smallest white one) cinderella mixing bowls. my father bargined the vendor down to $25 for the bowls plus the cute little salt shakers pictured below (now mr. salt has a couple buddies though he still feels like a third wheel sometimes).

this piece is from my grandmother. she held on to it for many years and just recently (when she learned of my new found obsession of dishes) she gave it to me. i am not sure what the brand is or even what it is called. but i love it. its one of my favorite pieces.
this piece is also from my grandma. again i dont know what it is or when it is from. it looks like some sort of carnival glass? any insight from my readers would be much appreciated.
