reprioritize.

okay so its been another crazy day, but a good day.

i was up all last night working on my inital trying to get as much done. i thought it was a good idea but then at 1:30 in the morning i was trying to turn my brain off to go to sleep and it just didnt want too. then up at 6:30 clinical at 8:00. busy day. gave two showers, got fairly wet and cleaned up alot of feces, gross :P. we got out a little bit early so that was awesome. i changed real quick and then met james on campus to get lunch.

you have no idea how nice it is when your friend asks you how you are doing and you respond, good. and then they ask, "how are you really doing?" its nice to know that they care. i like knowing that i can be honest with them and that they really do care how i am doing. it was just wonderful to get away from school and homework and the hospital and just have fun and talk about whatever. i definitely need to do more of that. and today really made me realize how much school affects my every day life. nursing has taken over my life and my priorities have shifted majorly. and i need to refocus and repriotize my life. i have been missing out on moments like today. i dont think God wants that for me. i have always said that God gave me this opportunity to be in the nursing program, and because of that, i want to work to make him proud, so he knows that i am taking it seriously. but as james pointed out today, God probably doesnt care if i get an A or a B, he knows that i am doing my best and God doesnt want my priorities to shift to where my relationship with God isnt number one. its obviously easier said than done. but thats my goal. shift things around. know my limits. repriotize.

and i am going to physically set time aside to do this. other wise i will just wait til i am less busy but then it wont happen. and i cant let that happen. that has happened far too much in my life. and i cant let my relationship with God suffer. it has to be now.

i love that God knows my intentions, and i love that he loves me no matter what mistakes i make. its very comforting and he always makes me feel very safe. like no matter what i do, it will be okay, because the blood of Christ covers all things. i am so blessed to have the kind of friends who are willing to speak into your life and like you dispite all your flaws :)

okay well i have to finish this initial assessment. my goal is to have it done by midnight tonight. its looking like it will be closer to 3am. ta ta :)
